I am very interested in seeing how much the city has borrowed under the current administration. I’d like to raise my family in a city that has been fiscally responsible. High property taxes cause financial difficulty for home owners as well as rents to be raised for renters.

Hi Tony,

An uxepected tax increase of 100% is unacceptable. Whart is needed regarding the tax increases is a CLEAR explanation of what is being takem in and where it is going. If the reasons for the increases are valid then I think the people will go along with them. I know it sounds simplistic but you cannot argue with a sound fiscal plan.

:True ……. The Neighborhood Street Reconstruction Program, takes advantage of the cost savings by a turn to more preventive maintenance. Replacing roads and sidewalks allows for a cost savings compared to constant repairs……
:But fixing something that is good and not fixing where you have bad roads is not savings, for example fixing sidewalks just to change a straight road into an S and narrow too, plus harder for plowers to plow snow don’t make any sense to me.

Hard data and an new models were designed to prioritize the community needs such as ADA accessibility, transit access, and development of the city’s tree canopy.
